Dear Friends,
I trust this message finds you well. We are living in remarkable times, both in our country and around the world. Today, as my family and I read Hebrews 11, we were reminded of those who looked beyond their struggles and trusted in God’s promises. With that same spirit, I write to you about those in desperate need.
In the northern regions we serve, many are on the brink of starvation. Among them are families who, like the Russian serf Grigory Vasilyev, face extreme hardships yet find ways to cling to hope. Grigory’s story is a powerful reminder of resilience and compassion.
Grigory was a humble serf in early 19th-century Russia, bound to the land and forced to endure relentless labor. One harsh winter, after a poor harvest, Grigory’s village faced severe food shortages. Despite his own hunger, Grigory was known for sharing what little he had with neighbors in even greater need, especially families with young children. His quiet generosity brought hope to his village, inspiring those nearby to send food that saved lives.
Though he saw little earthly reward, Grigory’s legacy endures as a symbol of selfless love.
Today, we have the chance to follow his example. Our goal is to provide 100 tons of rice (600,000 meals) annually to feed desperate families. Here’s how your gift can make a difference:
- $1,000 – 1 ton of rice for 50 families for a month
- $500 – Half a ton for 25 families
- $250 – Enough for 12 families
- $100 – Sustains 5 families
- $50, $25, or $15 – Brings nourishment to a family in need
We also need $20,000 annually to cover government fees and property maintenance, ensuring we can continue this critical work.
Your support has been a beacon of hope, helping us provide life-saving relief. To sustain our efforts, we need to raise $120,000 in just a few months. Every dollar given literally saves lives and shows the love of Jesus to those in dire need.
Thank you for your prayers and support as we walk this journey together.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Leland
P.S. I recently heard from believers in Europe and the northern USA who are inquiring about our work. It is deeply encouraging to hear from fellow believers who are attuned to these needs and willing to support this vital mission.
